Visit of the Drachenburg Castle

On a day off, head outside the city of Bonn to visit the Drachenburg Castle. The castle is not only very beautiful, it also presents a great view on the river rhine. Feel free to visit the beautiful green park on a sunny day or visit the marvelous interior halls of the castle. Opening hours vary from 12am to 5pm during the winter season (November 3rd till March 27th, only Saturdays and Sundays) and from 11am to 6pm during the summer season (March 28th till November 2nd, daily). Visit of the Haus der Geschichte (engl. House of History)

The Haus der Geschichte is a museum of contemporary history. It is part of the museum mile, which hosts several other museums and is located in close vicinity to our apartment hotel in Bonn. With more than 1 million visitors a year, the Haus der Geschichte is one of the most popular museums in Germany. The Haus der Geschichte presents the recent German history from 1945 onwards. From Tuesday to Friday the museum opens at 9am and closes at 7pm. On the weekend it opens at 10am and closes at 6pm. It is closed on Mondays. Check out the website of this museum for further infos.

Visit of the Beethoven House

One of the to-do’s if you spend a couple of days in our apartment hotel in Bonn. Admission is 6€. We highly recommend to spend an extra 2.50€ for an audio guide, which presents Beethoven’s music. From April 1st to October 31st the Beethoven House is open from 10am to 6pm and from November 1st to March 31st it is open 10am to 5pm (and from 11pm to 5pm on Sundays and holidays).
